I am currently studying at 1st semester of Madhav Institute of Technology (MITS), Gwalior, and I want to apply for lateral entry to UIT RGPV, SGSITS, or DAVV. Am I eligible for admission?

Tanya Gupta 12th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Eligibility for lateral entry to institutes like UIT RGPV, SGSITS, or DAVV typically depends on the specific admission criteria set by the universities. Generally, lateral entry is allowed for diploma holders or students completing the first year of an engineering program at a recognized institution. Since you are currently in the 1st semester at MITS, you may need to complete the first year with the required academic performance and fulfill other conditions such as entrance exams or minimum percentage criteria.

I take admission in pg college khargone which is under davv but now pg college khargone in not affiliated with davv it is independent University so after 2 years absence can I give atkt exam and if it is possible where should I give exam at pg college khargone or any college under davv?

Prachi Kumari 27th Nov, 2024

Hello,

Your situation involves the recent change in affiliation of PG College Khargone, which has become an independent university and is no longer under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV). In such cases, the procedure for taking ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms) exams can vary depending on university policies. Here's what you can do:

  • Change in Affiliation : PG College Khargone, previously affiliated with DAVV, is now an independent university. This change might affect your eligibility for exams and academic continuity.

  • ATKT Exam Eligibility : Since PG College Khargone is no longer under DAVV, the rules for appearing in ATKT (Allowed To Keep Term) exams may differ. Typically, ATKT exams are conducted by the university with which the student is affiliated.

  • Where to Appear : If your course was under DAVV and you have been absent for two years, you may need to contact DAVV or the new independent university to understand whether you can appear for ATKT exams in their system or at PG College Khargone.

  • Action : Contact both PG College Khargone's administration and DAVV to confirm where and how you can appear for your ATKT exam, as regulations may vary.

  • Documentation : Ensure all your academic records and course details are available to clarify your status with both institutions.

Hope it helps !

I have done my diploma so I want admission lateral entry for B.tech then I want DAVV Indore so will you get it or not

kumardurgesh1802 22nd Aug, 2024

Hello there,

DAVV Indore (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya) offers lateral entry for B.Tech programs, and you might have a chance of getting admission based on your diploma. However, guaranteeing admission isn't possible as it depends on several factors.

Here's what you can do to increase your chances:

Eligibility:

  • Check Eligibility Criteria: Visit the official DAVV website or contact the admissions office to verify if your diploma fulfills the eligibility criteria for lateral entry into the desired B.Tech program. Subjects in your diploma should  align with the B.Tech branch you're applying for.

  • Minimum Marks: Ensure your diploma marks meet the minimum requirement for lateral entry.

Admission Process:

  • Application Process: Monitor the DAVV website for application announcements. Apply online or offline within the stipulated timeframe.

  • Selection Process: DAVV might conduct an entrance exam or merit-based selection for lateral entry admissions. Prepare accordingly.

Availability:

  • Number of Seats: The number of lateral entry seats can be limited  compared to regular B.Tech admissions. Be prepared for competition.

  • Cut-off Marks: The previous year's cut-off marks for your specific diploma and B.Tech branch can give you an idea of your chances.

Recommendations:

  • Contact DAVV: Reach out to the admissions office at DAVV Indore for specific information on lateral entry admissions, eligibility criteria, and cut-off marks.

  • Alternative Options: Explore other colleges offering B.Tech lateral entry in Indore or other regions to broaden your options.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Is it possible to do MA in 2 different subjects (Psychology and English Literature) simultaneously in the same academic year in DAVV?

Nitin Kumar 7th Jun, 2024

It appears that pursuing M.A. in two different subjects simultaneously (Psychology and English Literature) in the same academic year at DAVV (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya) might not be possible through the regular full-time program.

M.A. programs at DAVV (and most universities in India) are typically designed as full-time courses with a set curriculum and schedule. This makes it challenging to pursue two full-time programs simultaneously due to overlapping classes, assignments, and exams.

DAVV has recently introduced a dual degree program where students can pursue two courses concurrently. However, there are key points to consider:

  • Limited Combinations: The program might allow a combination of a regular degree with a diploma or certificate course, not necessarily two full-fledged M.A. degrees.

  • Availability and Eligibility: Specific details about subject combinations, eligibility criteria, and the application process for this new dual degree program might still be under development.

Am i eligible for CUET if i cleared my 12th with commerce stream from State board and do maths only from nios as an additional subject. I want to take admission in DAVV Indore.....

Akansha Sharma 23rd Dec, 2024

Yes, you are eligible for CUET if you completed 12th with Commerce from a State Board and took Mathematics as an additional subject from NIOS. CUET considers candidates who have passed 12th from recognized boards, including state boards and NIOS. For admission to DAVV Indore, ensure you meet their specific course requirements, as some programs may require Mathematics in 12th. Verify the CUET eligibility criteria and DAVV's admission guidelines to confirm your subject combination is acceptable.

mere bete ka 12th percentage 86 tha. abhi jee mains me 76 bana h. kya IET DAVV me b.tech me addmition mil sakta h.

Lalit Kumar 3rd Dec, 2024

Dear

According to the information with a JEE Mains percentile of 76, it might be challenging to secure a seat in the Computer Science branch at IET DAVV Indore, especially under the All India Quota. The previous year's cutoff for this branch was around 30,000, and your rank would likely be above 2.5 lakh. However, if you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), the cutoffs are higher, and you might have a better chance.

It's always a good idea to check the latest cutoff trends and use a JEE Main College Predictor to get a more accurate idea of your chances.

Thanks.
