yes it is possible. To admission to b.tech course in second year as a lateral entry candidate, you must process a pass certificate on diploma engineering from a recognized Institute and affiliated board. admission is based on score in diploma course or Individual entrance test as per state wise.

CET is a common entrance exam. You do not have to write CET for any diploma courses.
