Anurag Khanna 2nd Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As you belongs to UP so in NIT Trichy you have to take admission under Other State quota.

As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing OBC-NCL (PwD) rank was 36 for CSE branch in NIT Trichy under Other state quota. Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2021 score at least 190-210 out of 300 and percentile against this is expected to be in the range of 99.7108311325455 - 99.845212160289.

sir/mam percentage of b.tech should be 50% in chemical engg. for officer post for the physically disabled candidate (Divyangjan)

pkp.inutail 11th Nov, 2020

Greetings, Amit.

Which job post are you referring to exactly? do specify so that I may be able to help you better.

So, in general, if you are applying for an exam (GATE) then they usually do not have any such criteria for percentage in B.Tech as long as you have passed and have a great score in GATE (for appearing in exams). If you are applying for a specific post in  a company without any exams then every company has its guidelines and eligibility criteria for applying which usually ranges from passed with 2nd division or as high has merit based with 70% and +

so do check out the criteria for the place you are applying at or ask with specific details here on the site.

here is  a link to GATE chemical ENGG cut offs :

Hi aspirant,

basic education qualification required for appearing in JEE main, one should completed 12th or appearing in 12th. Also there is no age limit in appearing in JEE main. In your case you already passed 12th so you can appear for JEE main and no need to pass 12 again. However you are still going to appear for 12 again, then also you can appear for JEE main.

hope this is helpful to clear your dilemma.

Sir I have scored 39.6393106 percentile in JEE MAINS 2020 and I have scored 338/600 in TN board exam 2020 and I belongs to scheduled caste and Disabled person Can I get any NITs IIITs or any GFTI With this mark ?

Anurag Khanna 6th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the percentile you have mentioned in the question your expected rank would be near about 5.3 Lacs and on the basis of this rank it is impossible to get any of the NIT or IIIT but yes on the basis of your category and this percentile you might have chance to sit in JEE-Advance and if you score decent marks with decent rank in JEE-Advance then you can get into IITs which stands above any of the NITs or IIITs.

Note that above are totally based on previous year's cut-offs and cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

You can predict the colleges using JEE-Main College Predictor :-

Is Disabled person scholarship for Engineering Valid for me if I take drop a year for better marks in JEE?

Varun Sood 11th Sep, 2020
Hii aspirant
Hope you are doing well amid covid-19 pandemic
Aspirants who drop are eligible to appear in JEE main exam only if they have dropped just 1 year and they do get all the reservation benefits as freshers get so it's not an issue but for jee advanced candidates must be 1995 born not older than that but for reserved category further 5 years are exempted. So you can drop and prepare well forget about your reservation and get fully prepared and get into merit list to get best colleges sand stream of your choice
In order to get more information regarding eligibility criteria in JEE exam check the following link
