can i get semi gov. seat with 543 neet score in general category from Rajasthan domicile

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Oct, 2020
Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 543 marks   you hold  a good chance to get a  Government quota seat in private medical college under Rajasthan state quota

For example,
in neet 2019, 470 marks for general category got a government quota seat in  Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital,Sitapura, Jaipur   under Rajasthan State quota

You also have chances in following Medical College For Government quota seats
* National Institute of Medical Science & Research, Jaipur
* Geetanjali Medical College

And more

To get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

I appeared NEET 2020 from west Bengal state & I think my name will come in the state merit list here. But I may get domicile of Assam as well. So in that case how can enroll my name in Assam merit list? Please advice.

Era Madaria 11th Oct, 2020
Hi Student

No, you cannot have more than one domicile certificate at a time. Itcan be made only in one state and obtaining more than one domicile certificate is an offence.

Domicile/Residence Certificate is issued to prove that the person bearing the certificate is a resident of the state or union territory by which the certificate is being issued. This certificate is required as a proof of residence to avail domicile or resident quotas.

So, in your case you can get a domicile certificate for either of the states but not for both.

For any further query you can comment in the comment section given below.

Swarnabha Das 11th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant
At first congratulations for your result and best wishes for your future.
Analysing cut off and opening and closing rank trends of previous years I am afraid to inform you that you may not get any seat for MBBS in government medical colleges through All India counselling for 15 % seats despite of OBC category. Chances are very tough for you in the state government colleges also .Based on previous year's cut off some of government private colleges of Bihar you can get through state counselling for 85 % states are

Mata Gujari Memorial Medical College, KishanganjMadhubani Medical College, Madhubani
Katihar Medical College, Katihar
Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Sasaram

I am getting 503 in NEET 2020, Male, General, Normal Candidate. I have domicile in West Bengal & may get domicile of Assam as well. Can I get registered in state councelling of both the states? If yes, then is there any chance to get a seat in a govt college? pl.suggest.

iammohdshareef 11th Oct, 2020

In West Bengal:

  • Burdwan Dental College
  • North Bengal Dental College

Here you cannot get a MBBS seat in Government Medical College but you can get a Govt. Quota seat in a Private Medical College.

In Assam:

  • GMC, Guwahati
  • Silchar Medical College
  • Assam Medical College

Assam has lesser cut offs and so you can get a GMC in Assam. This is all based on 2019 data and cut offs might change. If you have domicile of both West Bengal and Assam you can participate in the State Counselling of both the States. I have a NEET score of 504 and an AI rank of 83487. Is it possible for me to get a government seat in a private college in Karnataka under the state quota(I am a domicile of Karnataka). I am from the general category

AKSHAYA.V.A. 20th Nov, 2020

Hello!

First of all congratulations for your rank. There are chances for you to get seat in private college in Karnataka. But I cannot assure you, that you will definitely get a seat. This year competition is extremely high, even with 550 marks there are not 100% chances for that person to get a seat. In Tamil Nadu closing government college cut off was around 601 for OC category (This information was provided to show the level of competition), Incase if you are not able to secure a seat then go for deemed colleges or pursue from abroad that too only if you wanted to pursue immediately. Or else take NEET again.

Wishing you all the best to secure a seat. Hope the answer was of some help.

Thank You

can we apply for 2 states counselling under state quota if we have 2 domicile

iammohdshareef 11th Oct, 2020

If this is regarding NEET, then Yes. Let us say for example, you are a permanent resident of UP but studied your 11th and 12th in Delhi. Because you are UP's permanent resident, you will have the State domicile and so you can participate in UP State Counselling. And because you studied your 11th and 12th in Delhi, you are also eligible for Delhi State Counselling. So because you are eligible for these 2 States Counselling, you can apply when these States open their registration process. This is just an example. But in a broader spectrum you can apply. And to check which all colleges you can get a seat in, please use our College predictor: : https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

with 380 marks in neet can I get bvsc gov seat in hyd I belong sc category and Andhra domicile..pls help me

theeanonymous 11th Oct, 2020

Hello Akhi,

The cutoffs vary with factors like number of seats available , number of students applying , the overall NEET results, your ranking, difficulty level of the paper etc. Hence , nothing can be predicted for sure. In your case for SC category , 400+ is a safe score for a decent college based on previous year cutoffs. Getting a desired government seat may be a little doubtful also since you are from AP you can't claim home state quota reservation in Hyderabad since it is in Telangana  state , you can claim 85% quota only in AP and in Hyderabad you be will considered under the 15% quota . So you have to attend the counselling and see.

All the best

my ews category rank is 21900 in jee mains i am domicile of up can i get admission in HBTU kanpur in b.tech course

ARYAN SAGAR 11th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and it offers admission in undergraduate courses on the basis of JEE mains rank.
Now, as you have secured 21900 ews rank in JEE mains 2020, then there is no chance that you can get hbti Kanpur.
Because as per your ews category rank, your CRL rank must be above 100000 and with this much CRL rank you can't get even the lowest branch of hbti kanpur.

Here are the last year final round's  cutoff closing ranks for ews candidates on the basis of their CRL rank :-

Bio-chemical Engineering - 67751
Chemical Engineering - 48743
Civil Engineering - 48795
Computer Science and Engineering - 31227
Electrical Engineering - 44726
Electronics Engineering - 41683
Food Technology - 73561
Information Technology - 32958
Leather Technology - 74105
Mechanical Engineering - 46377
Oil Technology - 65799
Paint Technology - 64325
Plastic Technology - 68990

So as you can see there is no chance for you to get the lowest branch of hbti Kanpur from your EWS category, even if you belong from home state up.
