I am getting around 465 marks in neet 2021..is there any chance to get government clg..if yes then which clg can I get??..my domicile is of up state and completed 10th and 12th from Maharashtra..i belong to SC Category..

pdwords Student Expert 18th Oct, 2021

Hello,

If we go through last year cut-offs for SC Category through UP State Quota, then 457 marks secured seat in Autonomous Medical College, Bahraich hence you may have chances for GMC, however this is entirely based on previous year data, and cut-offs vary every year based on multiple factors such as

  • seat matrix
  • total number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • top neet scores
  • reservation
  • difficulty level of the paper etc,

You can go through previous year state cut-offs for UP at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up

my neet rank is 359000. i belong to sc category and my domicile is from Punjab. can i get veterinary College through 15% all india counselling?

monstwerdash 27th Nov, 2021

Hello there,

Hope you are doing well.See,as of now it's very difficult to predict the exact cut-offs as they keep changing every year depending on various factors like no. of students appeared, difficulty level of the question paper ,seat matrix and overall performance of the students . But we can have an idea of your probability of getting selected into your desired medical college based on previous year's cutoff scores and ranks.

For getting a government veterinary College through All India Counselling with SC category, one atleast needs to score 450 + and have a rank of under 1.5 lakhs as per previous years' cutoffs .

So, it doesn't seem possible for you to get a government veterinary College bit you can try for some private colleges of you wish to .

You can have details of the colleges you can get into based on your NEET AIR and category by the link given below :

I have Maharashtra domicile and passed ssc from Maharashtra but 12th from Rajasthan so what is my home state Maharashtra Or Rajasthan??? Plzz lemme know my home state in JEE MAIN and MHT CET separately.

Aditya 17th Oct, 2021

Hi aspirant,

You can choose either of the Maharastra or Rajasthan state to get the benefits of home state reservation as you fulfill two different eligibility criterias:

  • The student should be a native citizen of that particular state having a authenticate proof of it.
  • The student must have completed his secondary or higher secondary education from a recognised institution in the state which is also recognised by the government.
  • Parents must be working in any government or private institution for at least seven years in that particular state.

Talking about MHT CET, it also takes similar criterias into consideration but you should definitely select Maharastra domicile to get some leaverage and benifits. Following below are specified rules to be fulfilled in order to get benefits of Maharastran domicile:

Type A

  • Candidates should have passed SSC and also Diploma in Engineering or HSC or Bachelor of Science Exam from a recognised institution in the state of Maharashtra.
  • Candidate should either be a Domicile of Maharashtra and/or should be born in Maharashtra.

Type B Candidates

  • A candidate who doesn’t fall in Type A, have either or both of the parents who are domiciles of Maharashtra. However, they must possess a domicile certificate.

Type C Candidates

  • Candidates who do not fall in either Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted and reported to the duty in Maharashtra before the deadline of MHT CET application submission.

Type D Candidates

  • Candidates who do not fall in (Type A, B and C category), but either of their parents is employees of or are retired from Government of Maharashtra or a Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Type E Candidates

  • Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Exam from a recognised institution situated in a disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

Hope it helps!!

Does other state students who dont have domicile of karnataka will also have to pre-register with KEA website for private colleges or we have to directly participate in all india counseling of NEET?

Aditya 26th Nov, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Admissions to seats in the private medical colleges is done entirely on the basis of state counselling so there is no way you can get a seat in private medical colleges of Karnataka through all India counselling. However if you fulfill the domicile criteria of Karnataka you can appear in the state counselling for the same and get a seat. Neet UG domicile criteria for karnataka can be found on the link mentioned below:

Hi aspirant,

Yes you can surely apply for admission in private colleges in other states even if you don't have the domicile of other states. Without domicile proof or certificate you will be eligible only for all India open seats to all under private institutions to all states but it will be around 15 percent of total seats.

my AI Neet rank is 238557.. Im of general/ur category and my domicile is UP..can i get admission in Sharda University of medical sciences,Greater Noida?? also what was Sharda Universitys last year cut off?

Kashish Saxena 26th Nov, 2021

Hello aspirant,

As per the previous year cutoffs, the cutoff for MBBS in School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda University, Greater Noida is around AIR 133846 and marks 448. So according to this data you have low chances for getting admission in this institute.

But you can get admission in other private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Some private medical colleges for your consideration are as follows:

  • Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi
  • Noida International Institute of Medical Sciences, Gautam Buddha Nagar
  • K D Medical College, Mathura
  • Rama Medical College, Hapur

For more college options at your score you can use our NEET UG college predictor tool too:

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

However remember that cutoffs changes every year due to various factors such as number of students attempted exam and number of students participated in counselling, difficulty level of exam, reservations and more. So nothing can be predicted with certainty until the official announcement of cutoff.

Hope your query is resolved.

Hi, Any idea about karnataka domicile certificate. I got the domicile certificate for 6 years, even completed education from std-I to std-12 done in the state, while state medical councilling of Karnataka asking for minimum 7 years of domicile. Please share experience about this. Thanks, Manoj

Shivanshu 25th Nov, 2021

Dear aspirant !

Hope you are doing great ! It should not be happen with you if you were in the state from class first to 12 ,then domicile certificate should not be of only 6 years ,I think you should ask reason for this to concerned authorities ,consult with your elders and ask to your principal too.

Hope it helps you !!

Thank you!!
