Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar
Hello Chaitanya, with 4500 rank and if you still havent got any seat through 1st round CSAB counselling, you might not get into NIT delhi, trichy. However you can still stay hopefull for other NITs like NIT jalandhar, NIT agartala, NIT silchar, NIT srinagar, etc.
Also feel free to use this college predictor to be assured of which college you might have a chance of getting into

Hello Abhishek Pandey.
I would like to inform you that once the counselling procedure is over , the institute will surely provide the link for online fee payment on their website. You need to have patience because admission process is a very long procedure and takes a lot of time.
The timing of admission process in NIT jalandhar is the same as the time in which the college remains open which is generally from 9:00 to 5:00 however it may vary from college to college due to environmental factors. Therefore you should check on the official website of NIT Jalandhar where you can get more detailed information. Hope this helps.
Hi Deepak,
The main criterion to distinguish between two institutes is the PLACEMENTS.
According to the 2018 Placement Reports, 63.38% of Metallurgy branch candidates got placed from MNIT, Jaipur and 81.82% of Production Engineering candidates got placed from NIT Jalandhar.
The Average package for the Metallurgy Branch of MNIT Jaipur was 5.80 LPA and the average package of Production branch in NIT Jalandhar was 6.21 LPA.
The Highest Package for the Metallurgy Branch of MNIT Jaipur was 12.90 LPA and the average package of Production branch in NIT Jalandhar was 10.00 LPA.
Therefore, in my opinion, Production Engineering in NIT Jalandhar is a better option.
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!
Hey, Both of the colleges you provided are amazing and have great placements. The faculties too are equally good.
Placements in NITJ are good. Around 80% of the students got placed from campus. The highest package offered was 75 LPA, the average package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest package was 5 LPA. Approximately 200 companies visit the campus every year. Internships are also offered by companies. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 1 lac, and the lowest is Rs. 30,000. There is a training and placement cell. Well i am providing you with a link below which will help you to compare both the colleges based on different parameters like ranking, placements, faculty and more - Https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges Do visit the website for a clear and better idea before making a choice. Hope this helps.
Hi Abhishek,
No, Electrical Engineering at NIT Jalandhar has been there since the beginning, that is since 1987. You can confirm this by looking at placement statistics and an alumni base of NIT Jalandhar. Faculty of Electrical Engg. is very good, you can see their qualification in the link below:

All the best
Both are equally good but if you are targeting industries like automobile or steel then NIT Jamshedpur would be a better option because companies like Maruti Suzuki, Ashok Leyland Tata Steel, Honda and others do visit there.
But for NIT Jalandhar these companies don't visit there every year. But other companies do visit and you can definitely get a job from both these colleges.
All the very best
