Which is better ISRO or DRSO...?Can I get a Job in DRDO being an aerospace engineer...?

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 15th Jun, 2020
Hello.
Work perspective of the organisation is different, Both ISRO (INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION)  and DRDO (DEFENCE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION)  are government organisations, ISRO basically incline to the area of space research while DRDO is incline to the area of military research, work of both is entirely different and they both are necessary for the proper growth of the country so it will be difficult to compare these both because we can only compare two organisations when their work area is different but here it doesn't look like this both are comparable on the same level, there is nothing like DRSO I think you want to ask about DRDO that can you do aerospace engineering or not, so I would like to inform you that it basically depends  upon the vacancy, it might be possible that in some year vacancies are zero for aerospace engineering and in other year it may be in a good amount but you can do if vacancy available then your selection will be done on the basis of your GATE score.
Best of luck.

when can we expect IMD scientific assistant notification and also will there be recruitment for CEPTAM-10 STA-B by DRDO?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 11th Jun, 2020

The openings in DRDO are posted on the basis of vacancies available at various departments. So it cannot be said with certainty as to when would there will be any notifications in a particular month of the year. We need to hear from the official website because anything that we guess is just going to be a speculation.

Rahul 21st Jul, 2020
ONLY AAI, HAL and DRDO  are offering the job for aerospace engineering graduate as either aerospace engineer or scientists posts . You can apply for the mentioned post based on your GATE score (aerospace engineering) . If we look at the previous year cutoff what  we see is the rank you need ( for DRDO specially)  is in 20 to 30  and you can find the cutoff rank for the AAI and HAL on @Google or you can ask here on careers360  qna page .

How much marks is required in gate 2021 (aerospace engineering) for general category to get job in DRDO or IAF?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 30th Jun, 2020

hi,

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, number of vacancy comes , students category etc, drdo shortlisted candidates based on gate score , which follows by interview in selection of different position as per the eligibility of candidates, since aerospace engineers job is limited in India, your rank should be under 50, try to score above 80 to secure a decent rank.

how can I enter in ISRO/DRDO, I done my bsc Zoology this year. ?? if not possible then where can I go? want something great

Bhawna Mehbubani 16th May, 2020

Divya, as i can see you want to join ISRO/DRDO basically something great like serving the country. Well, i would suggest, you can go for MBBS after BSc zoology, but you should not have crossed the age limit of 17-25 years.

If you are going for MBBS, you can apply at Armed Forced Medical College (AFMC), Pune. This is an armed force college where you would be trained to work as a doctor in the army. Check out the official website

https://www.afmc.nic.in/

You can also get into DRDO, as BSc Zoology falls under one of the educational qualifications for CEPTAM exam. You can apply and write for CEPTAM, if you qualify you can surely get into DRDO. You can check official website for further notice

https://www.drdo.gov.in/ceptam-notice-board

For joining ISRO, you educational qualification should be BSc or MSc is Physics, Chemistry or Maths only.

I hope this helps you!

Hello. I am an electronics and communication engineering student, final year. I didnt take GATE exam ever and also I am not from any IIT or NIT. Will you please tell me, am I eligible for the post which is recently announced by DRDO or not?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 28th May, 2020
Hello,

DRDO is conducting the recruitment drive to fill 185 vacancies of Scientist B. Out of which, 41 vacancies are for Electronics and Communication Engineering, 43 for Mechanical Engineering, 32 for Computer Science, 12 for Electrical Engineering, 10 for Metallurgy, 8 for Physics, 7 for Chemistry, 6 for Chemical Engineering, 9 for Aeronautical Engineering, 3 for Civil Engineering, 4 for Mathematics, and 10 for Psychology.

Unfortunately you are not eligible because GATE and NET scores are required to apply for the Scientist B DRDO jobs. For engineering posts, the GATE qualification is necessary and for Psychology, a candidate should have qualified NET exam.

I hope this helps.

Is getting into ISRO/DRDO easier after doing PhD in aerospace engineering

Bhawna Mehbubani 17th May, 2020

Dear Renu,

DRDO had a scheme for science/engineering PhD graduates called ROSSA (Registration Of Students with Scholastic Aptitude) in which a scholar of less than 35 years of age was eligible to apply for the post of Scientist C under this scheme throughout the year. Based on his/her area of research, DRDO used to shortlist the candidates for interview. But unfortunately now,  this scheme stands suspended .

There is no such scheme in ISRO as in my knowledge.

A PhD candidate can now apply only against the advertised vacancy in DRDO/ISRO. You can check out the links

www.rac.gov.in (http://www.rac.gov.in/)

Why O negetive blood group is universal donar?

G VIJAYALAKSHMI 21st Dec, 2019

Dear candidate,

O negative blood group is an universal donar because it does not have any antigens present on it and it does not have Rh factor so, any other person can be given it without any problem of mismatch. So in an emergency o- red blood cells can be given to anyone.

Hope this information is Helpful.
