Recruitment process for the post of Drug Inspector is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or various State Public Service Commission’s (SPSCs) from time to time as vacancy arises. Candidates having prior experience of similar working at any medicine production company are given preference in the selection process.
The selection of candidates for Drug Inspector posts is done on the basis of their performance in the academic records, Written Exam and Personal Interview. Written exam consists of the questions related to the Pharmacy and General Knowledge.

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts a Drug Inspector Exam for all qualified applicants interested in working as a Drug Inspector under the government organisations.

The recruitment to the position of Drug Inspector is conducted by UPSC and also various state PSCs on an annual basis. Aspirants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or its related subjects from any PCI recognized University. One should have a minimum of 18 months experience in the manufacturing field.
You must be a graduate with a degree in B. So, if you have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, you can appear in the exams conducted for Drug Inspector vacancies.
In the central and state enforcement agencies, the basic educational qualification for the post of drug inspector is degree in pharmacy. From now on, this area can also be made a professional field of Pharm D holders.

Besides this, an aspiring drug inspector your must be in between 21 years and 30 years of age. If you are of the reserved category you will get relaxation in the upper age limit according to the government’s rules and regulations.
A drug inspector is selected on the basis of performance in the academics, written exam, and personal interview taken by various departments of state and Union Government.
As per the eligibility criteria there is no such rule to have work experience or whatever you just need to pass the entrance exam like gpat etc.

Yes , you can become a drug inspector even though your a PCM student but first you need to complete your Bachelor in Pharmacy to be eligible for it . Both PCM and PCB student can do Bpharm . Bpharm is a 4 year UG level course intended to train you in the pharmaceutical industry . Every year, the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts a Drug Inspector Exam for all qualified applicants interested in working as a Drug Inspector under the government organizations.
To become a Drug Inspector, you should have completed your 12th with PCB. In your case, you have opted PCBM. Yes, you can become a Drug Inspector. But first, you need to complete a four- year Bachelor in pharmacy course or Diploma in pharmacy course from a recognized institute. Only after this, you will be eligible to appear for the entrance exams for the recruitment of post of drug inspector.

Hello Aspirant. I hope you are doing good. To become a Drug Inspector, a candidate needs to fulfill some eligibility criteria prior to applying for the job.
Firstly, a candidate must complete a 4-years UG degree course on B.Pharm (Bachelors of Pharmacy) or B.Sc. in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Secondly, a candidate may pursue and complete a 2-years PG degree on M.Pharm or M.Sc in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacology etc. (although this is not mandatory).
Thirdly, a candidate is expected to have a 3 years (or 18 months) experience in manufacturing or testing of Schedule C or C1 drugs in pharmaceutical industry. (This criteria is preferred by UPSC although this is not essential for most of SPSC jobs).
After writing the exam conducted by UPSC or SPSC as well as document verification, a medical exam is also conducted, prior to the final interview of the applicant.

No , Mpharm is not required to become Drug inspector and only Bpharm is enough . The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in pharmacy from a university recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India and must have minimum of 18 months of experience in the drug manufacturing field .

Yes, you can give drug inspector exam after BAMS.
Drug inspectors are selected through the entrance examinations which is conducted every year at state level by state government and at national level by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria required to apply for drug inspector exam are as under:-
1. The candidate should have degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences or medicine with specialization in clinical pharmacology or microbiology from a recognized university or must hold equivalent pharmacy degree which should be from PCI approved college .
2. The candidate should have a minimum of 18 months experience in the manufacturing field.
3. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
4. The candidate age limit must be in between 21 years to 35 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for the reserved category candidates.

As per the Drug and Cosmetics Act there are different criterias for somebody to be a Drug Inspector. You need to have minimum 5 years experience in Field of analysis being a Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmacology student or minimum 3 years Post Graduate experience in analytical field like CDL being the same.
