Hello, I am bit afraid of getting admssion in du or ipu as i am from 2020-21 batch and my 12th result might be not so good.. so will I be able to clear ?..please clear up my confusion

Anurag Khanna 18th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See now the decision has been announced on the result policy for class 12th, according to which the result of class 12th will e made on the basis of your performance in class 10th, 11th and in internal assessments of class 12th now there might be some students who would not be satisfied with their result so the board has provided an option to those candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can appear for examination when the situation will get under control. So if you will not consider your class 112th result satisfactory for admission to your dream institute then you will have provision to appear for the examination but it will create some delay because exams will only be candidate when the situation gets under control due to COVID-19.

Also you need to understand this thing that you are not alone who is goin to face this problem because most of the students do not score good enough percentage in class 11th so this will affect their result as well so the cut-offs will accordingly be adjusted by the authorities.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

i want to do bba but i dont have maths so can i get admission in shaheed sukhdev college or any of du college?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th May, 2021

Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell  you dear but if you don't have maths in 10 + 2 then you are not eligible for pursuing BBA from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies or  any other college of DU

This is because,
Admission in BBA in all the DU colleges including Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies is through DU JAT.
but to be eligible for DU JAT it is compulsory to have maths in 10+2 .

For example,
As per DU Jat criteria to be eligible , a general category need to get at least 60% marks in four subjects, which are listed below :-
-) Mathematics,
-)English
-)any two elective subjects.

Thus,

You are not eligible for BBA in any college of Delhi University

You can check the complete eligibility criteria by visiting our page the link for the same is provided below :-

can i get BA economics with 81.03 percentile and 91.75 in bfs

Poulomi choudhuri 19th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

It's difficult to predict the exact cut-off and possibilities of admission, as it depends upon the cut-off. It changes every year. It depends on the lot of factors such as the exam pattern, the number of students appeared, the number of students qualified, the highest score, whether you belong to any category or not. It varies from state to state.

You haven't mentioned the state and the category you belong to. So it's difficult to predict. Considering you as a general candidate the chances of getting admission in BA economics with 81.03 percentile seems less, for general candidate last year cut-off was 97 and for OBC it was 95 percentile.

Hope it helps

I have got 97.3068%tile in DUJAT 2020 and 96% in my class 12th board exams. I can expect BBA(FIA) in shaheed sukhdev college?

vinitsingh1628 15th Oct, 2020

Firstly , congratulations for getting such a great percentile.you did amaze.

Yes I my dear friend you are highly applicable as you got such an amazing percentile and so is your 12 grades . Just wait for the second and third cut offs because chances of first cut off are less if you are a general category student .

Difference between BBA (FIA) and BMS course and their scope for future as comparative to B.com from DU. Can we pursue CA with BBA (FIA) is it beneficial . Which course should we pursue as confused between B.com and BBA/Bms as I am a sport person also awarded gold medal in state tournament .

NAINA SHARMA 9th Nov, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

BBA: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration BBA is a 3-year course relevant to the functioning and operation of a particular business, which also facilitates a master's degree in a specific area, such as finance, BUISNESS, marketing , sales, etc. This course helps students develop analytical and logical skills.

BBA (FIA): BBA in finance and Investment Analysis. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree programme will provide potential financial professionals with an in-depth understanding of how economic and banking matters are handled. Under the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance programme, students are taught to make educated insurance and investment predictions and forecasts. They also gain practical and theoretical knowledge of various financial elements, such as trading, financial engineering, portfolio management , corporate finance and international finance.

BMS: Bachelor of Management Studies BMS course essentially teaches a student how an organization actually runs and is operated. Along with the work, applicants can start freelancing, or they can opt for higher education in order to obtain in-depth experience, which will allow them to get administrative jobs.

B.Com: Bachelor in Commerce is a graduate course offering a conceptual understanding of Accounting, Finance, Corporate Law, Taxation, Insurance and Management. It is a three-year undergraduate programme in the field of trade. B.Com opens the doors to job prospects such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Business Secretary (CS), Cost and Work Accounting (CWA), Insurance & Banking Services.

Yes, You can pursue CA along with BBA(FIA) from DU, but you will be expected to keep your study schedule with your college and meet the minimum attendance criteria, along with CA studies. It's a bit difficult because the subjects in CA are mostly realistic, but for BBA or BMS from DU, the subjects are mostly related to management. Also, you can only complete your IPCC level when doing BBA/BMS and wait until you finish your college to start your paperwork.

In my opinion, you should go with B.Com+ CA, it is more preferable. These two are inter-relatable and it's easy to manage them well. Also, you can consider BBA(FIA)+CA if you are fond pf accounting and finance only. CA+BBA is not that much good option because BBA is totally related to management and managerial skills, if you that much ample of time and wanted to go to for management, then definitely you should but need proper time management.

Hope you find it useful.

Good luck. Thank you

I have 92.476 percentile score in the DU JAT 2020 exam and my best of four is 84.25. Any chance of any college in BMS or BBE ???

Priya 31st Oct, 2020

Hello,

Looking at your percentile i think you can get good colleges for BMS and BBE. DU gives a weightage of 65 and 35 to the DU JAT Exam and the Class 12th boards.

The expected cut off for 2020 would be as follows, and the cut off would be marks wise as stated below:

  1. Saheed Sukhdev College - 230 to 240 for BMS
  2. Deen Dayal Upadhyay - 210 to 200 for BMS
  3. keshav Maharaj - 200 to 210 marks for BMS
  4. Saheed Sukhdev College dor BBA- 230 to 240

Good luck, Hope it helps

giving prefernce to colleges in the form is a smart move or not?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 29th Aug, 2020

Hey!

This is what exactly happens in counselling of any entrance exam. You are given a form to fill your preferences and as per your rank/score in entrance exam, the seats chosen by you are provided. This is the actual motto of counseling: to provide students with the desired seats. However, you must choose your seats wisely.

Hope I answered your query
