Minimum 40 marks are required to qualify TS eamcet . As your rank is 55,120 you must have got eam CET marks around 55 marks.

So, to answer your question, it's really not possible to predict it beforehand whether there will be a decrease in competition or not, because it is infact a routine that the cutoffs increase every year. But i totally get your point too
