As compartment candidates are allowed, you can apply while appearing for compartment exam but make sure your result of compartment exam is declared before that of CLAT exam.
To be eligible for CLAT, the students must have secured:
Forty five percent (45%) marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII examination)
Colleges under Delhi University are probably the best , like St. Stephen's College , Delhi School of Economics (DSE), Shri Ram College of Commerce etc.

We are so sorry to say that it is impossible to study economics without having mathematics at +2 level.
The reason being those mathematics is a very important tool used in economics either to provide solutions to complex economic problems or to frame models.

As per CBSE guidelines, a compartment in 3 subjects is considered overall fail and one has to re-appear for the same class again.
So if you are from CBSE board then you have to re-appear for the whole examination again.

sorry to say but if you have failed in three subjects then your overall result will be considered as fail as CBSE boards allow students to appear for compartment exams in only one or two subjects , students who have failed in more than 2 subjects need to repeat
