Very honestly there is no comparison possible in between the psychology and economics. Both are completely different streams. In case of mount carmel bangalore the psychology bachelor's degree is good and in case of economics then NMIMS is best for it. Both the colleges have their own successful steps.

Lady sri ram college do require maths as a subject in your 12th for admissions into BA economics courses. Almost all colleges under DU ask for maths in 12th for admissions into BA economics. This is because economics requires maths as even in BA economics forget about Bsc

Minimum eligibility is 45% in your 12th boards. Aggregate of one language and three best elective subjects would be considered as best four subjects (BFS). Maths is not compulsory.

I would suggest knowing maths would be helpful for BA Economics in st. Xaviers. If you have not studied 12th Maths I would suggest to learn basic maths concepts like derivatives, integration, matrix because those concepts really helps when you study Econometric but college offers Economic to non maths students
