How many marks wanted for ba economics

Saanch kaushik 11th May, 2019

Hello Mariyath!

In B.A passing marks are thirty-three each subject . But in B.A its not enough marks because in a collage you need % not in marks to pass .

minimum you have to gain 50% in each three year and more then 50 you also can gain . its good for you to your future as well .

To get admission in another course we need 60% . if we didn’t get 60% in our graduated . we will not get admission . Because for teaching line we need minimum 50% to get admission in B.ed and M.A

Hope this will help you.

Thanks!

I have got 204 marks in ba arts hons.....and my overall rank is 300 and 261 in male....so can I get economics honours in bhu??

prateek payasi 20th Jun, 2019

hii Sawan ,

As you not mentioned your category here . we can not say that admission will happen or not . You can check  last year cut off of BHU UET.  from link given below . After checking cut off you can predict your admission according to cut off . But according to your marks and  rank there is the Chance of admission is very few. You can wait for 2nd or 3rd round counciling . But my suggestion apply some other college like DU and state university for Economics honours .

For cut off - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://university.careers360.com/articles/bhu-uet-cut-off/amp&ved=2ahUKEwiws7vBuvfiAhWRbn0KHa57CV4QFjACegQIDBAJ&usg=AOvVaw1RMUsy_2FX5LSZdBpbcioq&ampcf=1

Hope it helps!!

I wanna pursue B.Sc economics in St.Xaviers college , mumbai , with 93 in eco and 94 in maths , and a overall 91% , can i make the cut off?

Deepjyoti Roy 15th May, 2019

Hey Anubhab,

Looking at the previous year's data and this year's statistics there's a possible chance of you getting into St. Xavier's Mumbai for B.Sc in Economics. You might not make it in the first merit but probably you'll make it in the second merit.

You can go visit St. Xavier's Mumbai's official site to check last year's cut offs and merit list. You'll get an idea about it. I wish you all the best!

Hello dear aspirant

Internships play an important role in your graduation and as far as your course is concerned,  you can get a lot of good internship opportunities.
You can apply for the internships at Internshala,  they have a lot of good internships waiting for the under graduates and moreover you can also try to contact different companies on your own.

Hows the course structure of MA Economics BHU compared to the likes of DU, JNU and Jamia ?

tyagi2001ayush_9087518 Student Expert 20th Jun, 2019
Hello dear aspirant

Banaras Hindu University is one of the reputed university if India and being a post graduate from BHU is a matter of proud.
For information related to MA Economics at BHU,  visit the following link...
https://www.careers360.com/university/banaras-hindu-university-varanasi/ma-economics-course

Although,  BHU is a good university,  it's MA economics is not that good when compared with Delhi University,  because Delhi school of economics has its own fame and name. So if you are getting admission in DU, I would suggest you to opt for DU.

Hope I am clear
