Changing streams from BTech to MTech is allowed. A candidate pursuing his BTech in ECE branch is eligible to pursue MTech in EE streams. The candidate will only have to give the GATE exam in EE branch. And he will be allowed to pursue MTech in IITs from

I haven't understood ur question ,but i think u are asking how to get into thapar university in electrical domain so it  is based on a national level entrance exam/university's own entrance exam/basis of the class 12 marks.
