In my opinion both electric and electronics engineering and electronics and communication engineering are equally good.The main difference between EEE and ECE is EEE deals with only electrics and electronics where as ECE deals with electronics and some part of communication as well.In ECE the chances of getting jobs

Assuming it is 42 marks in GATE then according to 2020 statistics, GATE (EE) cutoff was 33.4 marks, and accordingly the rank may lie between 5000-10000. That may not get you top NIT's but you should keep a check on new NIT's like NIT, Silchar, Agartala, Raipur nor you
