Electrical Engineering
Currently MIT is better than any other low rank NITs ,It is itself a brand.
And in the recent year the performance of MIT is really nice
It is not right to say that MIT is going to become NIT very soon, but it is also true that in the upcoming year it will definitely get a good NIT rank college.
So without a doubt you should go for MIT Muzaffarpur Electrical
hiii ,
for my recommendation you can take nit mizoram , or you can also choose by the location nearest to your home town .
for more colleges through jee mains you can use the jee mains college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=JEE-Main-College-Predictor
Hello,
I hope you are doing fine, No branches can be attributed to as lower or top. If you're considering branches based on placements, then maybe due to the digital revolution and technological advancements that the world is undergoing, CSE at an average provides the best (in terms of compensation) but that doesn't de-value other branches as each has their own needs and importance.
Now, coming to your question, it would be my sincere advice to pursue the branch which excites /motivates you rather than going for branches that offer high salaried jobs because any branch you take, ultimately, it will be your skills and expertise that you develop throughout the years that will decide your compensation.
Now coming to the course my call would be to choose IIT Ropar. It is one of the fastest emerging 2nd generation IITs. The coding culture at IIT Ropar is absolutely amazing, and the placements are also amazing. Also, CSE at IIT Gandhinagar is pretty new as compared to IIT Ropar, so you should consider IIT Ropar.
I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.
Good Luck
Dear Aspirant
Thapar has a brand name and it's placement statistics are far better than UPES. But it depends on which branch you are getting. So in your case taking Computer Engineering in UPES is a very better option than Electrical at Thapar, because electrical has a comparatively hectic syllabus and if you want to do coding side by side it would become very difficult for you, so you should go for COE at UPES.
Hope this helps.
Hello Aspirant
You should go for DTU EE as DTU is known for it's core branches. On top of that you would have plenty of time to get involved in extra curricular activities and you can also focus on coding if you want to, whereas in NSUT the work load is comparatively more.
Now coming to the upgradation part so after JAC counselling the upgradation of branch happens at the end of 2nd semester which is totally based upon your JEE Rank, your 1st year score doesn't matter.

Hi, you do not have to sweat over it so much as everyone who enters this field will have a rusty mind when it comes to studies because of big vacation gap. If you wish to prepare yourself for the basics you can find them on YouTube. Basics like differentiation, Integration and Matrices will be there in your first 4 semesters. You do not have to go for GATE level questions just take out your 12th math book and start from there only that much is needed. Your faculty members will guide you anyway. For electrical or electronics you should know some basics of physics that you were taught in 12th. Hope this helps. If you still have doubts please feel free to comment.
