Electrical Engineering
1. Power Systems
2. Control Systems
3. Power Electronics and Drives
4. Signal Processing
5. VLSI
Also, if you for for Mtech, try to opt for IITs or NITs as placements in other institutions are very low. Also, IITs and NITs have good research and internship opportunities which would look good.
All the best !

Hello student
SEMESTER 1 SEMESTER 2
Hello,
There are also government jobs in IT sector not as many in Electrical Engineering but there are PSU's recruiting IT Engineers through GATE Exam or their own exam but they have limited seats. You can also go For BARC, ISRO and many other government sectors.
While in Electrical Engineering it is easier to grab government job because there are more vacancies as compared to that for IT Engineers . But, also there is more competition as most of the students preparing for government jobs in this branch.
So , I will suggest you that you can choose only that stream in which you have interest otherwise things will get tougher for you.
Hope you will get your answer.
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly
For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

Dear Satya,
Government jobs always had an edge over private sector just because no one can fire you, moreover you are not bounded by many restrictions or set rules which are assigned to you in private sector. But, today IT sector has grown alot, the jobs in MNC(Multi National Company) gives almost similar approach as of government job. Plus, you get extra benefits like health insurance, cab, food etc. Which varies and mostly depends on your job profile too.
And, if you ask which sector you should go for, I would highly recommend you to only follow your interest, the job you are interested in doing rather than just for money purpose, only that will give you peace and money, trust me. Moreover, for mechanical engineerings, the job profile is available in top MNC's like TCS, Infosys etc. And, for coaching you can fo internships which are budget friendly which are widely available online.
Hope this helps.
All the Best!!
Hi
This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like
----------) number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam,
----------) kind of marks obtained by them ,
----------) toughness level of the examination ,
----------) number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
>>>>>>>> with 450 ews rank in jee advanced
As per round 6 of josaa counselling, 2020 ,
For electrical engineering
You have chances in following :-
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology , BHU:- Electrical engineering:- 488 ews rank
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology , indore :- Electrical engineering:- 509 ews rank
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar:- Electrical engineering:- 771 ews rank
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology , Mandi :- Electrical engineering:- 967 ews rank
And more,
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Above prediction is on the past year data basis but cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon several factors so
