Electronics and Communication Engineering
Hello aspirant,
Hope youbare doing well!
See, both the courses are good in their respective fields. You need toh choose one based on your interest and future career goals.
But if you ask about the placements then i must tell you, graduates with CSE generally get high package than graduates with ECE.
You have to ask the inner self about your interests and goals, then only you will get the right answer.
Read more about both the couses here:

Dear Shubham,
According to the placement policy of every company, your average marks should be greater than or equal to 60% in your 4 years' B.tech course and you should not have any active backlogs at the time of onboarding process (one of your joining formalities) in your company.
So there'll be no issue how many back you had in your first year, but before completion of 4th year, there shouldn't be any active backlog i.e. you must clear all the backlogs of all the years within 4 years with minimum of 60% average aggregate, otherwise you can't join any company.
So Subham, don't worry, still there's time.
Start immense hardwork to clear all the exams from now without any backlog in your next 3 years to get good jobs in your campus- placement.
Hope our following Careers360 article must be quite helpful for you at the time of your campus- placement:

hello aspirant
Since you have not mentioned your category, I am considering you as a GENERAL category student. Further, looking at the previous year Cutoff trends, with the above mentioned percentile score in JEE mains, you have difficult chances of getting CSE or ECE branch as these are core branches and so the required percentile score in jee mains in Coimbatore campus Amrita is around 98-99 percentile in JEE mains. But, you may get some other lower branches with this above mentioned percentile in JEE mains.
Further, to know more about the AEEE Cutoff, you can follow below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff

I hope that this will help.
As you have got 132923 and your EWS rank is 18000, with this rank it will be difficult to get high demanding branches like CSE, IT, ECE etc in top NITs or IIITs.
You can go for JOSSA Counseling and also try for State Counseling and other private colleges.
Cutoff keeps changing year to year. Keep in mind that your chances to grab a seat will vary on the following basis:
Number of seats available
Number of students applied for the same branch
Performance of the students
The category you belong to etc.
