I think there will not be seperate categorisation for ECE companies like the software companies. So I think that many companies do need an ECE engineer like operating communication systems in companies like BSNL and other cellular network. In companies like Facebook for handling information exchange hardware etc.

With your rank in JEE Mains and assuming that you are a general category aspirant, it would be difficult for you to get ECE in SASTRA, but you should be able to get one of the less preferred branches.

Rank that you got is good . Most probably sorry to say that you may not get seat in CSE, But you have 100 percent chances to get seat in ECE,EEE,IT . I think you may take IT . It is similar to CSE. Hope my answer helps. Thank you
