I got 278/300in my board exams and may get 90/180 in kcet, what rank may I get and which college can I join for EC engineering.

Anurag Khanna 26th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

As per the marks mentioned by you in the question your rank in KCET 2022 is expected to be under 3500-4000 .  But note that this is not your exact rank because it is not yet released and the rank predicted above is on the basis of previous year's data.

As the rank Vs marks keeps on changing depending upon various factors such as :

** Number of candidates appeared for examination.

** Top score for that particular year.

** Total number of seats available.

And some more factors, therefore your actual rank in KCET 2022 might vary with slight variations.

You can use KCET 2022 College Predictor toll to predict the colleges that you can get based upon your KCET 2022 rank. You can use KCET College predictor from the link given below :-

Is btech Electronics and communication engineering degree is eligible for Masters in computer science in USA

thakurvishesh1 25th Jul, 2022

Yes, definitely! See according to the system of most of the reputed US colleges (including Ivy League), all the circuital branches such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering etc come under one department of EECS or Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, so if you have done you B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, then you can definitely apply for MS or PhD in Computer Science in US colleges without any difficulty if you score well in GRE and other exams.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

b tech eee vs ecm which is better for job

neev 13th Jun, 2022

Well both the fields EEE and ECM will give you good knowledge of Electronics but EEE is more hardware oriented in which you will deal with machines whereas ECM is more software oriented. Both the fields are good for Jobs as there is a wide application of both fields in real time.

But still if you ask which is better for job I would say ECM in terms of more opportunities or more exposure into companies because it has 2 core subjects involved i.e Computer management and Electronics which gives you a wide range of Jobs. But EEE will give you jobs only in electrical and electronics sector.

For 16500 rank in comedk . which are the best colleges i can get into for CS or EC or ECC ? My category is obc (2b).

Anurag Khanna 9th Jul, 2022

Hello Pavan,

According to the COMEDK 2022 rank mentioned by you in the question you have good chances in following colleges :-

ACS College of Engineering, Bangalore - CSE

Atria Institute of Technology - CSE

Coorg Institute of Technology - ECE

Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore  - ECE

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and if you are seeking for exact list of colleges that you can get then it is quite difficult to make any accurate prediction of your admission chances for any particular college or any specific branch because the cut-off keep on varying every year depending upon various factors such as :-

number of candidates appeared in COMEDK 2022, difficulty level of the paper, top score for COMEDK 2022, total number of seats available for admission and some other factors.......

However you can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

You can also use COMEDK College Predictor for more accurate predictions :-

My comedk rank in 16527. Can i get into dayanada sagar college of engineering. specializing in Cs ( or EC or EEE). My category is obc. also is there any home state advantage?

Aditi Singh 8th Jul, 2022

Hey buddy.

Your rank as mentioned is 16k and your category is OBC. Generally, 30% of seats in DAYANAND SAGAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING(DSCE) are filled through COMED-K exam.

At this rank, you might not get your desired branch but those likely to have more chances are for BE course at VTU:

  • ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGG. (~31k CLOSING RANK)
  • MECHANICAL ENGG.
  • ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGG.

These data mentioned above are based on previous year trends. you can check out more info about cutoffs for DSCE, BANGALORE here: https://www.careers360.com/colleges/dayananda-sagar-college-of-engineering-bangalore/cut-off

Thanks.
