Look government jobs are more in mechanical. But ggsipu is much better college than akgec. I think you should go for ggsipu. After first year you can change branch if you perform well.

ece in 1st cut off in thapar with 42498 rank..it is expwcted to get electronics & computer in next cut off...how it is different from CSE

Electronics and computer engineering mainly focus on electrical parts used inside computer, we can say it deals with with hardware.
And on the other hand cse mainly focus on software and languages.

Thapar is one of the oldest institute.
Mostly students going to thapar choose cs , it, ece.
So huge crowd.
As per last year cutoff there is 60% chance to get ece.
