Your marks are good but not that much good so you can take admission in Thapar through merit basis. You need minimum 90% to get any of the branch in Thapar for the safe side. And for CSE your percentage should be more than 97%.

In 2001 ST Category rank, you don't have any chances to get ECE and EEE in NIT Surathkal.

According to your rank and category , you can't get the seat in NIT SURATHKAL because the closing rank is between 1100 to 1650 (appox.) according to the ST Category. You can go the with better and  private and state wise colleges where you here huge scope in getting the
