Electronics and communications engineering (ECE) is the study, development, and testing of electronic devices utilised in a variety of systems. Electronics and Telecommunications (ENTC): This subject focuses on the telecommunications, electrical, and electronics departments and deals with the expertise of combining hardware and software components. Although there may be a few differences in their study methods, EnTC and ECE are essentially the same. Information technology (IT) is the use of technology to handle and alter information/data. It involves using computers, networks, storage, and other technical infrastructure, both hardware and software, to solve organisational and business challenges. Greetings!
Sir, at 255 marks it is not going to be possible for your son to get CSE or Electronics in BITS, so your best bet is going to NITs and IIITs.
In NITs or IIITs, now considering about 10K rank and that you belong to general, category, your son should be able to get ECE in SVNIT, or NITs that rank around it.
In IIITs you can get IIIT Guwahati/Lucknow CSE, or IIITs of similar range.
Now the thing that you need to know is that in case of IIITs/NITs sometimes a lot depends on home state quota too, so if your native state has a really good NIT/IIIT then you must also try there, for example if you are a resident of Delhi, then you have really good chance of getting CSE related courses in IIIT Delhi, which is a much better than mentioned options, as I have not considered any reservations whatsoever.
To get a more knowledge on which colleges your son can get, you can use the following predictor

hello aspirant,
With the above mentioned rank in COMEDK, and looking at the previous year COMEDK cutoff, you have chances of getting these below mentioned colleges for ECE or IT : Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, KLE Technological University, Hubli etc.
Further, to know more about your chances in other colleges, you can follow the below mentioned college predictor link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/comedk-college-predictor
I hope that this will help,
Hello,
If you have scored 78 marks in JEE mains then your percentile would be somewhere around 90-92 percentile, with this score there are very less chances that you will get into a government college like NIT in your home state even if you are a girl candidate then still is very difficult for you to fetch an NIT with any branch with such score. Try to improve your marks in your next attempt.
If your score is 90% tile then there are high chances that you are eligible to sit for JEE advanced but this is not enough to clear JEE advanced and get an IIT. You have to work harder than before and clear your concept in the very last month that you have. If you manage to score somewhere around 100 in jee adv by clearing the cutoff of every subject then you will get the IIT. Now it is completely up to you how much hard work you are willing to put in the last month to achieve your dream of IIT. Only your dedication toward your goal is the deciding factor in whether you will get the IIT or not. One month is completely enough for you to score or at least clear JEE advanced. There are numerous examples of a student who didn't do well in their JEE main exam but cracked JEE advanced with flying colours just by following the right path. Now, you just have to choose the right study material, have a fixed schedule, cut off all the distractions and put all your focus on one aim. If you still do random studies and make the same mistake again like before then you won't be able to achieve that dream of yours.
Hope it helps, thank you.
Hope you are doing great. The eligibility criteria to get admission to B.Tech in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taken together and must have scored minimum 55% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry individually from a recognized board.
If you are getting KIIT and if you satisfy the required criteria then KIIT is not a bad option to choose.
Hope it helps
Best wishes to you :)
Hello Aspirant
Hope you are doing great.
See both colleges are good. It depends on you where you want to go. Keep factors like location and placement in mind.
