I think you are bit confused because GEN-EWS rank is alloted to the students of general category who are economically weak so there is no chance of a student belonging to general category to get a corresponding rank in OBC category.

yes unfortunately the colleges start before  the completion of csab round. Usually people don't take risk and apply for alternative college aswell. I would suggest you to do the same. people change colleges after the result.

Tge cutoff for GFTI ( government funded technical institutes) according to previous years cutoff , the general rank is about 50k till which you can be sure to gat admission.

You shall have to be prepared to go to your  nearest reporting institute. In many cases,especially in latter rounds, students have to go to the reporting institue just after the day of result.

Nothing can be done about it.

as the preparatory candidates belong to sc and st category ,the tution fees is 0 irrespective of guardian job and income.

according to government policy of mhrd there is no tution fees for sc,st candidates in nit and iit

you only have to give hostel fees and other fees.
