Both vmc and narayana are best colleges.You need to join in the college which makes your iit concepts better.But,when you compare between these two colleges narayana is far better,there is a talk that vmc is not good.

Hello aspirant, the only possible reason that you didn't got the seat in the fifth round might be you have not filled your college preferences properly. Check out the cutoff rank of your preferred colleges and then according to your rank generate your preferred list of colleges.
