Can I take drop for 2nd time for JEE Mains while I am presently studying in 3rd semester in a below average private engineering college?

yes you can take drop and study for jee main. but think you would have 2 years gap between 12 and starting of btech. and some companies doesnot allow 2 years gap between academic gap.

You can participate in CSAB even after you get seat allotted in JOSAA.CSAB(Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling is conducted separately .It is different from JOSAA.
