There is no difference in academics of CSE and CSE(SS).
SS stands for 'self supporting' courses.
Self-supporting courses are courses started by colleges without financial assistance from the government in any form. Which means, all the expenses of the course including tuition fees, laboratory maintenance, salary for teachers
It's almost the same just a little difference in the subjects offered in the course. You will notice that a single college doesn't have both the courses. Just one Computer Engineering or CSE, so it doesn't really matter. If you want to go for the generally opted Computer Engineering course,
