Hello ruchir
Thanks for contacting careers360.
Finding resonating structures in a given compound requires isolating all possible varients of covalent bonds possible in a chemical compound and identifying the potential for pi bonds to be shared between two subsituent atoms of equal electronegativity
Also,to make it clear break extra bonds and represent it with dotted line and convert charge in parts accordingly to the question given and place it

I had focused only on boards and managed to get 94% of self study.

Dear student you have only six month for exam please prepare your mind that you are reading chemistry for scoring high in entrance exam. You are not reading it for your interest. There is a method by using it you can score well in final exam in minimum time. Use following discipline for chemistry preparation. 1.Take a book in which old year exam papers( JEE-ADVANCED and JEE-MAIN) with solution are given. 2. Give two or three days to analyse the old five years papers and marked the chapters, from which questions have been asked. Now work hard on those chapters from which questions are very frequently asked. Now Divide complete syllabus of chemistry in three part 1. Maximum focus 2. Average Focus 3.Minimum focus. 3. Make list of formulae, try to remember chemical reaction, make short notes of important points, and read NCERT at least two times before final exam. i am sure you will score high in chemistry. good luck
