what is the chance to get good engineering colleges with 77% percentile in JEE 2024?

Devyani Prakash 13th Feb, 2024

Based on your percentile, it will be tough to get into top Engineering colleges in India. However, you could apply in different state and university level counsellings, where you might have a chance to apply in different colleges based on your percentile.

I highly recommend considering taking the second attempt of the JEE, scheduled for April.

Opting for the second session will give you advantages that can help you. Firstly, it gives you ample time to improveyour preparation strategy. Furthermore, the second attempt offers a fresh opportunity to score better and get better colleges.

I am in sc category and Mey percentile is 73 .. can I get government college in chemical engineering??

Devyani Prakash 17th Feb, 2024

Hello student,

Based on your percentile, you would not be able to get college admission through JoSAA counselling.

I suggest that firstly you can sit for the second attempt to improve your score and get admission in the chemical branch in a good college through JoSAA Counselling.

However, you also have the option of applying to different state counsellings to get admission in govt. colleges.

For example, if you applied for WBJEE, the state entrance exam for engineering in West Bengal, then you could get admission into chemical branch in colleges such as Calcutta Institute of Technology, Howrah and Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management, Durgapur.

my son score in Jee mains session 1 is 201. what would be his percentile and how much he sh score jn session 2 exams for engineering admission

Devyani Prakash 17th Feb, 2024

Hello,

since the January 2024 JEE Mains session 1 result is out, your son must have got and checked his percentile.

The student's percentile is the NTA score mentioned in the scorecard. NTA score and percentile is the same thing.

Talking about the rank, the rank of the student is released along with the final result after the April session-2 of JEE Mains. If your son is planning to give the second attempt, then his score will depend on factors like his preparation, difficulty level of the paper, cutoff trends, etc. I suggest to prepare well and give your best in the second attempt to get a good score.

Can i change engineering college in 1st year from Kerala to Bangalore. ?

Tanya Gupta 15th Feb, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you definitely can change your engineering college in 1st year but it totally depends on your current college if they will allow you to change your engineering college as most of the college require you to pay the full 4 year tution fee for the college and then only you are allowed to change your college. This is the main reason why most students fail to change their engineering college and have to continue with their current college.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
