Hello Aspirant,
Since you have mentioned research , definitely is better to go for B.Sc Physics. In engineering you will be learning the basics of branches like cse, eee, ece, mech etc in the first year and then later more on the specialization you have chosen. There will be a wide range of subject
My personal opinion on the best 10 Institutes for CSE are as follows. Do Note, I am not considering the NIRF or QS Rankings and am deciding solely on basis of Faculty, Infrastructure, Research Potential, Career Prospects and Outlook.
1. IIT Bombay / IISc Bangalore (PG)
2. IIT Delhi
3.
As per the previous year cutoffs it is difficult for you to get admission in CGFTIs(Central Government Funded Technical Institutes) like NIT or IIIT. You can check previous year cut offs at the below mentioned link

You can still participate in counseling process organised by your state

Hello Siddhant,
Hi Aspirant,
KIIT, Bhubaneshwar and TCE, Madurai are both well reputed colleges for Engineering. KIIT has a slight edge in terms of faculty, location and student life but TCE has slightly better placement options.
Also, the fees for KIIT's B.Tech. course are around 15 Lakhs compared to TCE's 2 Lakhs.
