I had a PCB group in 12th, but if I give MHTCET of PCM, can I go into civil engineering field?

satyamercedes0626 3rd Mar, 2024

Hello,

Hope you are doing great.

Answering to your question, Certainly! You can opt for the PCM group in MHTCET even if you have pursued the PCB group in class 12. To be eligible for engineering programs, you should have successfully completed your 10+2 education with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology. Additionally, you must have secured a minimum of 45% marks if you fall under the general category, and a minimum of 40% marks if you belong to any Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section, or Persons with Disability category within Maharashtra State, in the aforementioned subjects collectively.

For admission to engineering courses, you are required to attempt questions from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Conversely, for B.Pharmacy or Pharm D programs, you need to attempt questions from Mathematics and/or Biology, along with Physics and Chemistry. Hi

hope you doing well

While having a score of 92.8763441 percentile in JEE Main and belonging to the General category, you have a reasonable chance of getting admission into NFSC Nagpur (National Fire Service College) for Fire Engineering. NFSC Nagpur accepts JEE Main scores, and admissions are based on the All India Rank (AIR).

The cutoffs for NFSC Nagpur may vary slightly each year based on competition and the number of applicants. Your percentile score places you in a fairly competitive range, so you should have a decent chance of getting into the program.

Since you scored 85% in your 12th boards and have cleared JEE Mains with a good percentile, you meet the basic eligibility requirements for admission to the Fire Engineering program.

It would be beneficial to check the previous years' cutoffs for NFSC to gauge your exact standing and ensure that you participate in the counseling process.
