how much rank should we get into IIT for sc

rehan18alam Student Expert 29th Oct, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

It is all relative to the difficulty of the question paper and the number of seats available. However, in general anything above AIR 6000 is a sure for getting a seat in at least one IIT. To get into top IITs like Delhi, Bombay, you may be needing a rank above 4000 AIR.

There might be some changes in these figures, however, you get the picture.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

The AI course will be not offered by any college as under graduate.

So coming to the point through CSE course you have acces to many computer course such as AI,machine learing ,cloud ..etc

So firstly give preference to CSE course so that you can have more command on AI .

Best course among them is untalkable because through CSE you can learn AI

what course is best to become an isro scientist?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd Oct, 2019
Dear Maanvi, There are various levels at which you can join ISRO and at various designations.
After 12th: You can get into IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) for their Undergraduate programmes. The admission is based on JEE Advanced scores. Which means you need to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2. You can pick any of their 4 year Bachelor programmes like B.Tech in Physical Sciences, B.Tech in Avionics and B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, etc. Or you can also pick up their 5 year Integrated courses in Master of Science in Astronomy and AstroPhysics, Master of Technology in Earth System Science, Master of Science in Solid State Physics and Master of Science in Optical Engineering, etc.

Opportunities are amazing for academically brilliant candidates. With a CGPA of 7.5 or higher, subject to the availability of vacancies, you get placed in ISRO. Aero and Avio graduates have better prospects even outside ISRO.

After B.Tech: IIST also offers Postgraduate Programmes like:
M.Tech in Soft Computing & Machine Learning
M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering
M.Tech in Geo informatics
M.Tech in Optical Engineering
M.Tech in Machine Learning & Computing
M.Tech in Solid State Technology
M.Tech in VLSI & Microsystems
M.Tech in Materials Science & Technology, etc.

Opportunities depend upon ISRO Placements conducted by centralised recruitment committee.

I am of general category as well EWS. If i submit EWS certificate and EWS quote is full as well general category is open. Will l get an admission in general category ?

Rajashree Khandelia 23rd Oct, 2019

Hello Paril Pritul Sanghvi

If you are an EWS student then you need to produce and submit your EWS certificate. If you fail to do so, no matter what category you belong to, you will be treated as a General category student during whole of the admission process and counselling. So try to submit your EWS Certificate as soon as possible.

Hope it helps you.
