For the junior roles specifications do not matter much, All you need is just a btech degree in any stream. Then TCS will take their own aptitude test and shortlist the students selected from the test for further interviews. Interview questions mostly are from your field with some occasional questions for the programming stuff.

It is better you know basics of programmings.

For example if you complete your degree from any top institutes like IIT's then you can get into top companies like Bajaj, Hero Motocorp, Honda, Daimler, etc with an average salary of around 8-12 lpa.

Please don't expect anything like working in Buggati, Audi or any top automotive company just after your graduation.

I believe that you wish to know about course of Electrical Engineering for pursuing MTech or ME. Then you can choose Power system or Control and Automation. VLSI is also a good option considering it is an interdisciplinary branch.
