Dear,
Engineers are successful in India too if you belong to IITs, NITs or government engineering colleges. It is difficult to get into these colleges but the packages offered are far beyond expectations. ROI on education will be more than 100%. Mainly, as the IT sector is increasing the jobs are more oriented towards AI, ML , Data Science etc. Most people in India are frustrated about our system where there is no value to talent and everybody just want a good score or marks. I believe these are some points dur to which engineers prefer to move abroad- 1)More Quality job Opportunities and exposure 2)More money. 3)Completely new life. 4)More research opportunities 5)More importance for experience is given.
Everybody who goes to US are proud about India and long to come back but only feel frustrated with lack of opportunities. Its not about engineers only. Everyone is opportunist. If anyone gets right opportunity and if conditions are apt he/she will leave the country. The real problem is that leaving the country and migrating to Europe or US has now become a status symbol like once speaking English used to be a status symbol.
Hope this helps!
