If you are from general category you need minimum of 60 % for aiims , thus you are not eligible for aiims with 58 % marks.

To calculate the percentage, you should sum up all the marks that you got in all the subjects. Now sum up all the maximum marks available for each subject. And now divide the total marks score by total maximum marks and multiply this into 100.
