i got 60k rank in neet pg 2021 is there any chance i might get into MS ENT in government college under EWS category? or maybe in the mop up rounds?

Sree Student Expert 24th Oct, 2021

Hello Pavithra,

It is difficult to predict because cut-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors like

  • Number of seats available
  • Caste Category of the student
  • Number of students appeared in NEET PG exam
  • Difficulty level of NEET PG exam

For your NEET PG Rank you can try for Management quota seat in Private Medical Colleges, based on previous year's cut-offs.

To check the possibility of getting MS ENT seat you can use College Predictor Tool which is given below.

You can go through below mentioned article related to NEET PG cut-offs.

To predict Colleges based on your NEET PG score using below mentioned College Predictor Tool.

May this information was useful.

Best of Luck!!

do bams doctors perform dentistry ent etc

Parmeshwar Suhag 26th Dec, 2020

Hello Candidate,

Postgraduate degree holders in Ayurveda will now be allowed to perform a variety of general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, and dental procedures. The government has amended the Indian Medicine Central Council (Post Graduate Ayurveda Education) Regulations, 2016, to introduce formal training in these procedures as part of the curriculum for PG students of shalya (general surgery) and shalakya (diseases of ear, nose, throat, ENT, eye, head, oro-dentistry) specialisations.

Hope it helps you.

I have 85percentile in UR category. Is there any chance of landing peds, Anesthesia,Ent,Eye etc in 3rd or spot rounds

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 21st Jul, 2020

Hey Manishankar

I am assuming you are talkijng about your percentile in NEET PG. As you may know NBE , BoG MCI and MohFW has revised NEET PG cutoff percentile on July 14. For general category you need  at least 50th percentile (that is 366 score). Does ENT needs NEET marks for qualification?

Mayank Chowdhary 5th Jul, 2020

Hi, I am from kerala and i got allotted in the 2nd round of counselling for DNB ENT in Secundrabad and i if i rejects and continue for 3rd round will i get Paediatric or ENT in the 3rd round in kerala or some other near states?

Sk Student Expert 4th Jul, 2020

Dear Doctor,

Since you have not given us your rank in your NEET UG we will assume you have done fairly to be allotted a DNB ENT seat in the second round of counseling.  With MD Pediatrics in the 3rd round will be difficult but there is slight chance in ENT.  DNB may feel like you are doing a doing a lesser program but gathering knowledge is the same for both.  Your keenness to learn will be rather defining in both, also find out if the college in Secundrabad has a high patient volume – this is most important when it comes to learning.

What MCI says about MS ENT : The purpose of MS ENT is to standardize Otorhinolaryngology teaching at Post Graduate level throughout the country so that it will benefit in achieving uniformity in undergraduate teaching as well and resultantly creating competent ENT Surgeons with appropriate expertise.

What MCI says about DNB ENT: Practice the specialty of Otorhinolaryngology ethically keeping in mind the requirement of the patient, his community and people at large. Demonstrate sufficient understanding of basic sciences related to Otorhinolaryngology and be able to integrate such knowledge in his Clinical practice. Diagnose and manage majority of conditions in Otorhinolaryngology

So MS is about treating and surgery and DNB is about treating only. Now if surgery is important for you then you need to take a chance, if not DNB and later think about MCh if needed.

NB – If you ever intend to take up teaching then MS or MD is needed.

Good Luck

which is better considering service bond, academic MD ENT In bjmc ahmedabad vs kgmc ?

Sk Student Expert 8th Jun, 2020

Dear ,

From a ranking perspective King George Medical University is ranked much higher than B J Medical College according to National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF). So from an education perspective it is definitely KGMC.

The service bond is a stipulation that you need to fulfill to serve in rural areas. Now most tend to view this as a hardship assignment with poor facilities etc. Why not use opportunity to enhance your diagnostics skills, a growing problem today is the cost of diagnostics. It is becoming prohibitive and so medicine need to move towards cheaper and faster diagnostics.

Good Luck!

i have done b1 level of delf (french) and therefore i wanna apply for MA french in PUCHD. the process of admission is merit based !! my doubt is , whether i have to give entrance exam, and then waiy for merit.. or direct admission without any ent.exam? ,what is the full process to get registered?

pdwords Student Expert 24th May, 2020

Hello,

Admission to MA French in Punjab University is done purely on the basis of qualifying examination, no entrance test is conducted regarding this matter. There are different eligibility criteria for this course, for those who have done bachelor's degree in any other subject than that of French need to pass the same with 50% aggregate along with graduation level or diploma level knowledge of French.
