Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), founded in 1920, by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, ranks as one of the top universities in India having a NIRF Ranking of 17 in the University category. Also, AMU has acquired a position in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2020. AMU has been ranked in 8-9th position, nationally. The university has started teaching in three new centers outside Aligarh which are Murshidabad in West Bengal, Malappuram in Kerala, and Kishanganj in Bihar. For the Entrance test for Bachelors courses the medium of all the tests are in English, except where a question paper is set in a language other than English.

English language comprehension

*each section has 25 objective type questions
*A total of 100 mcqs are there
* Exam is conducted for a total of 400 marks.
Marking scheme
*For each wrong answer, your 1 mark is deducted
*for each correct answer you get 4 marks
* 0 marks for questions not attempted

For the B.sc psychology the entrance test will have 40 MCQ questions of 2.5 marks each to completed in 1 hour duration . Section I will have 20 questions which will be based on aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning. Section II will have 20 questions based on general knowledge which includes questions on English language, Math, General science, Chemistry and Biology for 10th, 11th and 12th Standard syllabus. Following are the topics on which the questions are set.
The fees is approximately 3.90Lakh- total fees.

As you have mentioned about your rank that you have got 1405 se let me tell in rank , the computer science and engineering branch would be a tough one to grab but other specialisation branches like computer and communication engineering , you are eligible to grab that.

You can accept branches such as electrical,ECE,Mechanical,Civil in Manipal Institute based on the last few year's statistics.You can accept easy admission in Manipal main branch in the above streams with a rank of around 7-9k.If you have scored below 5k then there would be chances in the branches like CS,IT etc.Sit for the counselling and you will get the mentioned branch in second to third rounds of counselling.
