Well first of all since it's a mtech that is a master's course and that is why admission must be on the basis of gate score or any other entrance test score and not class twelfth score cause it's not an undergraduate degree admission.

Yes you definitely can appear in the entrance exams in 2021 but you should make sure that if you want to reappear in 2022 you do not cross the upper age limit for the exams.
