Dear Aspirant,
First of all, you have to be very careful while filling any application form and try to avoid even the slightest of mistakes.
However, in your case, since you didn't select EWS category while applying, I'm afraid you won't be upload during the counselling process. You will fall in the category of general category.
Good luck!
Hello,
Honestly it is difficult for you to get cse branch in any of the good NITs/IIITs because the cut offs state around 99 for cse branch even for the ews category students.
So, i would suggest if you really want cse branch then go for colleges which comes under your state or go for state counselling. There is fair chances for.yoy to get non core branches .
You can try for NITs if your home state belong to one of these such as Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Srinagar, Agartala.
If you want to check out the colleges you can get, you can take the help of the college predictor link given below -

A student should have obtained a minimum of 75 percentage in class 12 board examination to be eligible to get into NITs/ IITs etc. This is the requirement for all candidates belonging to non - reserved categories which includes the EWS category as well.
This year they have scraped this minimum requirement due to the pandemic but we aren't sure if it will be brought back in 2023 or not as this has not been made into a policy decision yet.
