The full form of EWS is Economically Weaker Section and the full form of TFW is Tuition Fee Wavier. The EWS category and TFW eligibility is almost same. But it is compulsory to belong from general category. 10% EWS quota is only for general category as other reservation

I hope you are doing well . If you don't have EWS certificate then it is better to go and make a certificate. Because you will need it for every exam and post.

Changing your preference because you don't have the certificate is not advisable.
