ews
Hello aspirant,
It is always beneficial to fill the application form as a EWS candidate, because EWS candidates have some special kinds of reservations that GENERAL Candidates do not have. But, you must make sure, that you must meet all the necessary criteria for being a EWS candidate. If you do not meet the criteria then you will be regarded as Unreserved or as GENERAL Category student.
The EWS is for that section of the 'General' classes (not covered under OBC, SC or ST) whose family income is below Rs. 8 lakhs. For them, a 10% reservation in seats is provided . There will be a separate (lower) cut-off for the EWS candidates, in the same manner for OBC, SC and ST candidates
So, these were the benefits of EWS Candidates.
Furthermore, the current definition of EWS candidate is : Candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. Their family must not own more than 5 acres of agriculture land. The residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft.
I hope that this will help,
Hello Aspirant,
Yes you can definitely opt for EWS category reservation in NEET UG counselling under state quota even if you had not selected for aforesaid reservation category during NEET UG 2022 application submission.
But note that then no EWS reservation advantage would be given to you in qualifying NEET UG because you will have to qualify NEET UG under General quota as you will be considered as General candidate for NEET UG examination.

NO, it wouldn't create any issue and your NEET Application form will not get rejected. If your father's middle name is different in your Aadhar card, EWS certificate and in your Class 12th and 10th marksheet, then do not worry as it will not create any issue in your NEET application form and your application form will not get rejected.
Further, If you wish, you can also correct your NEET application form and can make any changes in it during the NEET Application correction facility when the correction window opens in NEET Official Website.

YES, you can give State level EWS certificate. It will be valid in your NEET 2022 application form. Your State issued EWS Category is valid across India . So if you have EWS reservation and a Certificate, you can claim EWS reservation at both Central and State level Counsellings.
Furthermore, I wanted to clarify that there is no such distinction as state and central EWS certificate . There is only one EWS certificate. If you fullfill all the criteria you are eligible to get EWS certificate.
Further, to know mroe about the reservation in NEET 2022, you ca follow the below mentioned link : https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-reservation-criteria

Nope! Getting an Income certificate will be required for the family. You can collect the document from the BDO/SDO and it don't take much of time. As your mother is a housewife and there is no income except the mention, then take the pension slip to the SDO and you will be issued the required certificate. For EWS certificate the Income certificate is important as you have to provide some proof in the Affidavit.
Wish you a great eve!

hello aspirant,
In order to be eligible for EWS reservation you must have a valid and fresh EWS certificate issued on or after 1st April 2022. Therefore, your EWS certificate will not be accepted at the time of counselling if you have applied your old (2020) certificate for HCS examination. Further, if you failed to provide the proof of a fresh and valid EWS certificate at the time of counselling, then you will be considered as the GENERAL category student and will be allotted colleges based on the General Category Cutoff.
Further, what you can do is that you can give a Self-declaration form at the time of registration for HCS. The self-declaration form is the valid proof that, since you do not have a valid EWS certificate at time of registration, you will give a fresh certificate after some days when you'll get a new certificate from the tehsildar. By doing this you'll be allowed to register for HCS examination. generally EWS certificate takes 15 days for the approval. So, when you'll be issued a new certificate then you can submit it during the counselling procedure.
First of all you need to have to Download the Self- declaration form from the official website of JEE mains in PDF form, and then you need to take the hard copy(print out) of that form.
You can download the Self-declaration form by downloading it from the below mentioned website of NTA : https://jeeadv.ac.in/forms/DECLARATION_BY_THE_CANDIDATE_IN_LIEU_OF_GEN-EWS_CERTIFICATE.pdf
Further, after downloading and printing the self-declaration form you need to fill in all the necessary details correctly. This is what basically you have to write - "I hereby declare that I wrote JEE (Main) 2022 as GEN-EWS candidate and that I will upload a fresh certificate (issued on or after April 1, 2022) at the time of reporting after seat allocation. I understand that inability to upload the same by the given date and time will lead to the withdrawal of GEN-EWS benefit."
Further, after filling and writing all the details, you can submit it on the official website of NTA JEE. The self-declaration form must need to be uploaded at the time of counselling of the examination.
Further, since you have not mentioned any exam regrading fo which you need self-declaration form, I have mentioned JEE mains examination for clarity of understanding. This procedure is also correct for other examinations as well.
