see I assume you are concerned about jee main exam. see if you do not have the category certificate yet, you may upload it with in end of may 2021. however due to corona pandemic the 4th session of jee main exam has cancelled and it would delay. so
You are absolutely eligibile to apply for an EWS Certificate even if you're a Hindu Candidate. There are two minimum requirements to get an EWS Certificate-
1. You must be belong to General category (not SC ST or OBC but General).
2. Your Annual family income should not exceed
EWS means Economically Backward Class. This Certificate is only for General Category Candidates, no matter what's their religion (Hindu Muslim Sikh) but he/she needs to belong to General category. And annual family income should not exceed INR 800000.
