Based on 72 percentile it would be difficult to get admission into NITs and IIITs through JoSAA Counselling . In state counselling you can definitely try possibilities are there to get admission into . You you want to take admission in Punjab college then you need to separately apply for Punjab state counselling .

Mohammad comes to under OBC or EWS in AP

Lalbee 13th Feb, 2024

Hello Aspirant,

It's not a caste; Muhammad is only a previous name added to one's name. Thus, it might or might not fall under OBC. To recognize as a OBC there are different factors for consideration as such income do include.

Currently, Muslims who fall under the OBC category are granted reservations. Legal experts claim that this quota is allowed because it is for the "backward classes" rather than a religious or caste group.
OBC is not based on religion, but rather on caste. Furthermore, castes are not recognised in Islam. However, several States are thinking of giving backward Muslims who fall under the OBC category a reserved spot in government employment.

from ews cetegory jee mains 90%ile can i get cse in bce bhagalpur ?

Satvik 15th Oct, 2024

Hi

hope you doing well

BCE Bhagalpur typically has a lower cutoff for the CSE branch compared to many other engineering colleges in Bihar and NITs.

To determine your chances of securing admission to the CSE branch at BCE Bhagalpur (Bihar College of Engineering, Bhagalpur) with a 90 percentile in JEE Mains under the EWS category, However, the cutoffs can vary each year based on the applicant pool and exam difficulty.

For EWS candidates , the expected cutoff for CSE in recent years has been approximately:

  • 85-90 percentile : This means you stand a good chance of getting a seat in CSE.
  • Home State Quota: If you are from Bihar, you may have an advantage under the home state quota, which can result in slightly lower cutoffs.
  • Reservation Policies: Ensure that you have the necessary documentation for your EWS category , as this will be crucial during the admission process.

With a 90 percentile in JEE Mains under the EWS category , you should have a strong chance of securing admission to the CSE branch at BCE Bhagalpur . It’s advisable to participate in the counseling process and apply as soon as the admissions are open to maximize your chances.

i got 55 marks in jee mains 29 th 2024 i am ews what will be my percentile will i get anything or start preparation for eamcet

Satvik 15th Oct, 2024

Hi

hope you doing well

The cutoffs for NITs and IIITs usually close around 85-90 percentile for lower-demand branches.

With your percentile around 60-65, getting a seat in NITs or IIITs is unlikely through JoSAA.

If you're targeting colleges in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, EAMCET (AP EAMCET / TS EAMCET) is a great option. Here's what you can consider:

  • EAMCET has no negative marking , so it’s easier to boost your score.
  • Many state-level engineering colleges accept EAMCET scores and offer good placement opportunities.
  • If your goal is CSE or ECE, many state colleges through EAMCET offer these branches with lower competition compared to JEE.

Given your score of 55 marks in JEE Mains and EWS status:

NITs and IIITs may not be within reach through JoSAA. You can try for GFTIs, but chances are slim. Starting EAMCET preparation is a wise move, as you have better chances of securing a good branch in state-level engineering colleges.
