Ad you have mentioned that you have got 78 percentile in mhtcet and even if i consider your EWS quota still it is very difficult to get a seat in a good college Maharashtra and so I would recommend you to keep other colleges as a back up

If you didn't give your EWS certificate during verification of a counseling, then your seat will get cancelled.

But if you can't produce an EWS certificate before counseling, you can apply through general category rank in the counseling process and ignore your EWS rank.
