it depends on the exams control authority and their rules and regulations. however if you have applied from ews category you would be counted as ews candidate and your rank and score would be measured for ews quota. so a ews candidate can not be counted as general category.

As according to your rank and category as I think go through NIT Agartala.As you have better options of other colleges.
