I am facing the same problem . I applied for upsc epfo eo/ao 2020 on 21st of January but my ews certificate issued on June 2020.  now I think we will not get ews benefits but we will be considered as general category apllicants .

You are still considered as a candidate belonging to EWS category if you have scored above the cut off marks specified for general category. If you have a valid EWS certificate issued by a competent authority you can claim EWS reservation and get the reservation benefits of EWS category

You can get the EWS certificate from your local government authority (Tehsil). which  called an 'Income and Assets Certificate' and this is the proof that the person is eligible  to avail of the EWS reservation.

Eligible candidates can apply Offline through their BDO / SDO / DWO office for
