Sir I wanted to know if can get any govt college with ews quota with 332 marks or is there any other option to get a private medical College which provides seats at lowest cost...

piyush263001 14th Aug, 2022

Hello,

With your expected marks in the NEET 2022 Examination, it wouldn't be possible for you to get MBBS seat in Government Medical College despite you being an EWS Category Candidate.

An EWS Category Candidate needs to score around 595+ marks to be on the safe side for seat in Government Medical colleges.

------ Also, to predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every year during Counseling depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET 2022 result

•  MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2022

------- Though with your expected marks you have godd chances of taking admission in Private Medical Colleges and Deemed Medical Universities. But the fees for MBBS course is quite high ranging from 12-18 Lakhs per year in Private medical colleges and around 20 Lakhs in Deemed Medical Universities.

hello sir/maam, my jee 2022 1st attempt score is 106 and i have ews quota , which nit incan expect? thankyou

Piyush kesarwani 4th Jul, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Looking at the previous year JEE mains Cutoff, in order to get good NIT's through JEE mains, you need to score minimum 96-98 percentile or above to have decent chances of getting seat in Top NIT's of India. The equivalent score in JEE mains to get into good NIT would be around 160-180.

However, you still hold chances to qualify in JEE Main and appear for JEE Advanced. In 2021 the qualifying cut off percentile for EWS category was 66.2 percentile.

further, the above is only a prediction as it is totally based on the previous year Cutoff trends, because the JEE mains cutoff depends on various factors like : difficulty level of the paper, previous year cutoff trends, number of aspirants appearing, etc.

To know more about the JEE mains Cutoff, you can follow the below mentioned link : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Priya Anjali 2nd Jul, 2022
Hello aspirant,
According to your question the chances of you getting into the contents are pretty much higher add your have scored well. But not to forget that they universities every year release a cut off that the students need to fulfill in order to get into the university. So your admission not only depends on your hardwork but also on the cut off and other factors.

Is Ews quota should be mentioned while filling form of different entrance exams? Can it be updated later while counseling?

Arhana Chakraborty 29th Mar, 2022

Yeah! You can select your category as EWS for an examination, even if you don't have the certificate at that moment, but you should get it by the time of counselling. Now during the counselling if you won't able to produce your category certificate, then you have to appear for the UR & you have to provide a declaration as per the rules & norms suggested by the examination conducting authority you are appearing for.

I hope my answer provides you some insight. Wish you a great eve!

I dont have my ews quota documents ready so i am filling my jee registration in general quota but by the time i give neet i will get my ews documents ready, so will the fact that i am selecting general category during jee affect my neet registration as i plan to do so using my ews documents?????

Ashmi Singh 22nd Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant! As we know that both JEE and NEET are different examinations and that one can help you get into engineering colleges and other can get you medical colleges. But as both comes under NTA you may have confusion but you shouldn't have as both are different examinations. You can do your NEET registration as per your choice provided there are valid proofs.
Hope this helps!

sir,my score is 188 in NEET and I am in EWS quota.which veternery colleges,I can get seat as they are increasing vci AIQ to 100 seats in EWS.

Sree Student Expert 20th Feb, 2022

Dear aspirant,

It is very difficult to predict because cut-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors.

You try to apply for Counselling and see whether you can get seat or not because your NEET score is low that's why chances are very less. Indeed you try for seat in Management quota in good Veterinary Colleges.

NEET UG 2021 Cut-off:

---••• General Category: 50th Percentile - 720 - 138 Marks

---••• SC/ ST/ OBC: 40th Percentile - 137 - 108 Marks

---••• General - PwD: 45th Percentile - 137 - 122 Marks

---••• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th Percentile - 121-108 Marks
