As there's no boundaries or any types of cutoff or low rank to get participated in JOSAA or CSAB Counselling, through these ones can opt a seat in NITs. For you with 68 percentile it's very difficult to get a seat in any NITs. I have got common rank list :142607 Gen (ews):21117. can I get seat in NIT under ews quota

Anurag Khanna 29th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See on such EWS rank it is very difficult to get any of the NITs even under EWS quota because closing EWS ranks were around 7k-8k and you are very far from it also you can see the closing EWS ranks of last year were like :-

National Institute of Technology Durgapur - Bio Technology (7788)

National Institute of Technology Agartala - Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering (8387)

Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar - Civil Engineering (8246)

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/GFTIs , so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for autonomous government colleges or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 cut-off and know whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, so it is given below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

You can check more details about JEE-Main 2021 cut-offs from the link given below :-

can i use my father ews certificate for getting ews quota in admission in college or i have to get certificate of my own

Purbayan Chatterjee 26th Sep, 2021

Hello Manoj,

Hope you are doing all good. Unfortunately, in order to use the facilities of EWS quota, you need to get an EWS certificate of your own. Your father's certificate won't help.

The good thing is, making the certificate will be easy keeping the fact that your father has one. Therefore, verification process will be fastened.

Hope that helps.

I got 31400 rank can I get ece in Vishnu college in ews quota

Sharon Rose Student Expert 14th Sep, 2021

Hello,

In 2019 the cut off for admission to Electronics and Communication Engineering in VISHNU GRP OF INSTNS - VISHNU INST OF TECHNOLOGY for EWS category was 19566 for Male and 19566 for female. Considering the cut you do not have chances to get seat in the preferred course in VISHNU GRP OF INSTNS - VISHNU INST OF TECHNOLOGY. However, you have chances to get seat in Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in the same institute. Cut off may increase or decrease depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off click on the link given below

I m a government employee but my family income is less then 8 lakh per annum. Can i be eligible for ews quota for the other government jobs.

Purbayan Chatterjee 11th Sep, 2021

Hi Shubhangi,

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subcategory of people belonging to the Economy Based Un-Reserved Category having an annual family income less than INR 8 lakhs and who do not belong to any category such as SC/ST/OBC.

Also, to get reserved under EWS category there are other elements as well (like you should not have any agricultural land of 5 acres and above, your residential flat should not be of 1000 sq ft, etc.)

If you fulfil all these criteria, then you're definitely eligible for EWS quota.

Hope this helps.
