i am a garment technology student in diplamo. what can i choose next. fashion designing or fashion technology

M.Nilaa 9th May, 2020

Hi,

Both Fashion designing and Fashion Technology are good course to opt for your further studies.

Now choosing one of these course lies in your interest. If you are willing to learn more about finding  inspiration, sketching, making patterns and designing garments then please go for designing. Youll learn lot of softwares and have the knowledge how the garment industry is moving forward.

If you wish to deepen your study in garment technology then opt for fashion technology and strengthen your field of knowledge.

Please choose wisely and All the best

Thank you.

No it's not completely their responsibility. They will try their best to shape you the best and make you deserving enough to get a respectful job on your own merit but you cannot take that for granted. It's you who has to struggle and earn that. NIFT Delhi has great education facilities so probably you need to focus throughout the year pretty well and yes then you can get a decent respectful job for sure.

After my 12th can I do BA-Mathematics and fashion designing at a same time ??

pushpanjalinayak36 4th May, 2020
Hello Arpita!
Currently, no student in India can legally pursue more than one degree simultaneously either from the same institution or from any other institution.
After completing your secondary education, you can opt for either one of these .

No academic course is easier than any other course. Each course has its share of pros and cons. There are several aspects that you need to keep in mind while opting for one :

  1. What interests you the most? What do you actually want to be known for among your peers?
  2. What career options do you have? Does your college provide good placements? What do the alumnae of your college do now?
  3. Is your family financially stable? Stable enough to keep up with the expenses of your complete course?

If not, what other options do you have?
If you do plan on taking a Student loan from the bank, how do you plan on repaying it?

TIP: There are very few mainstream Fashion colleges which the bank provides Student loans to.
If you do plan on taking a loan and pursuing Fashion Designing, make sure your bank provides student loan for the same.

Hope you choose wisely. Good luck with your future.
