Now, to answer your question, in order to enroll for B.Des in NIFT, Delhi, a candidate must fulfil certain eligibility criteria. This criteria includes:-

• Candidate must have finished their 10+2 from a recognized board.
• Candidate must be below age 23.
• Candidate must have qualifying marks in the NIFT entrance exam.

In conclusion, you're eligible to apply for the course and appear for the entrance test.

Generally the companies look for good cgpa as well as the portfolio. So, not only you will have to work on your portfolio but also academics.

If you see previous year placement record then the retail companies did the major recruitment, nearly 39% followed by Fashion brands(20%). The rest goes to Designers / Design houses (19%), export houses / buying houses and agencies (16%).

NIFT, Delhi is one of the best fashion institutes in India. The fee structure is quite expensive in the college since the fees get increased every year by almost 10%. It requires approx 2.8 Lacs to complete a year. Along with this, accommodation and canteen fees, daily chores related to different subjects incur many extra expenses. There are often scholarships available from the college as well as from government.

This scheme will cover all eligible students provided their numbers are within

25% of the overall student strength of all the NIFT Centres as a collective.

Upto `. 1.0 Lakhs : 75% fees waived

Above ` 1.0 Lakhs to ` 2.5 Lakhs :- 50%

Above ` 2.5 Lakhs to ` 4.0 Lakhs:- 25% fees waived.

Yes, you are right. NIFT provides financial support on merit by providing some documents like Income certificate and all.

On the Income Certificate basis your fees will be decided.

NIFT provides scholarship for the student in three sections.

1) Nift provides financial assistance under NIFT on merit scheme. In this scheme upto 75% fees of ug student and up to 59% tution fees for Pg student will be wiaved on the basis of merit and family annual income.

2) Scholarship for fresher and renewable student like sc/st/bc/disabled.

3) UDAAN merit scheme id for foreign studies.
